    personally , i don't think that i'll choose to apply for a job which is different from my main domain ; becoz i know that i will not love the job ; when when some 1 don't love his job , he won't be able to work in it easy or to make it as good as he can ; in the contrary , i thik i'll be lazy & i will even hate the job ; So , my answer is : i prefer keep studying than working in a post i don't like ;;
To underline my idea, i'll give u an example which is common : when u study a subject u dislike , u don't work it hard , u always go to the courses late , if the course is about an hour u feel it like a year .... Am i right ?!!

Thank u Olfa very much for the topic it's very motivating.
Personally,I think that job's opportunities are very rare in our country.I think that finding a job while studying is a good idea but this job must be conformed to our studies & degrees. So,personally,I hope to find a job but not to be a teacher b/c I hate teaching.
Another idea,I think that jobs become more & more difficult since in order to pass the CAPES you've first of all pass a QCM which is somehow hard.
So,these are my ideas, what about the others???????????????????
    confused Question Wink
lol! Have A NICE DAY afro

Hello friends Wink I do respect each of your attitudes, but here is mine:
Well, choosing this topic to discuss wasn't an innocent act from my part! I explain: Since two almost two months I set for an exam ( surveillant ) ,it's near to announce the results, I don't know if I will make it, but if yes, of course I will choose the job, even that I have the dream of being an english teacher ,waw if this happen, but actually sometimes I feel so scared of the coming days , maybe I exagerate a little, but I always say;what if my dream do not be true, with the fact that having the job that I dream become very hard noadays, and you all know what I mean! Maybe my fear of not having something guarantee , or maybe be because I used to not see soo far, my dreams are very simple, cause I scare of being fall down when I look so high! That's why I prefer the job ,even the fact that I do want to complete my studies!
That's it, my point is that I will prefer something guarantee ,better than waiting for something not sure!
I know that I 'm looking little weak Embarassed but I can't trust the coming days any more, I never know what is hidden for me, so I'll not loose any chance of work (if that happened of cousre ah lol ) cause I need it so badly ,I swear !
Well this is my personal view , waiting for others

A bird in hand is better than ten flying. You should start from here brother Laflouf. Your study should be your priority number one at least for the time being. There is no problem to keep an eye on the jobs available to seize a apart-time one if possible, meanwhile you should keep studying wholeheartedly. By the way there is a Tunisian saying of the following effect, ''never spill your water until you find a better water.'' That is to say, once you get your visa (your degree) to the market, you can spread the wings of hope and open the gates of aspiration wide. Good luck students and wait for the best …Is there any wonder that Allah's mercy is wider than his universe………be patient brothers and tomorrow is another day.

    Salem!
I’m extremely admired by your words, you seem an experienced man!
There is no doubt that having complete studies and educational certificates is the main key to guarantee a good and respectful future! But working life nowadays become hard these days, so loosing an opportunity of a valuable job, seems to be a foolish! So as you said, it will be a good idea of doing the too in the same time, but it will be a challenge cause it will be difficult then to deal with the situation! But I think its ok, cause nothing comes easy these days!
Personally, I know many real examples that stop their studies when they just find a job,
But they regret after, so this is can be a good reason to say that stopping studies to work is not the right choice , so yes I agree with you when you said that we have to give the priority to study!
By the way, I said that I’m waiting the result of my demand of job, I failed ^^ I didn’t succeed in it! It’s ok, as you just said moez, maybe tomorrow is better than today, and maybe keeping studying and concentrating only on my studies will make me reach this “better tomorrow”!
Thanks for the post, it goes directly to the point!
    Your “sister” laflouf lol!

    study or work

Post by Wes T on Mon Mar 03, 2008 12:56 am

I must admit how interesting it is to be a fly on the wall, listening to your discussion. Although, it is so tempting, I can't resist--I must comment.

I have watched Tunisia for many years now, with students coming and going, graduating and waiting, some going on to work, with or without success in the CAPES. You certainly do understand that there is no sure thing ahead for you.

For most people, the economic needs of their family will weigh heavily when they make career vs. educational plans. If a job comes along in this society of high unemployment, it can't be denied that it would be a great boon for the family to have another income earner. I know for many of you, if you are the oldest in your family, your family is relying on you to graduate and then get a job to help support them. That puts a lot of pressure on you for your studies. I hope that you can manage to live with that pressure, and try to continue.

If all options were open to you, I would firmly advise that you wait until you find a job that you enjoy before you take the plunge into the world of employment. Before my wife and I got married, we agreed that we wouldn't get engaged until we were both working, in order to earn the money that we needed for the wedding. At that time, though, I took the first job that came along, knowing that it wouldn't be forever and that I would get a better job soon. I was only there for a few months.

Here, though, life is not so luxurious. You don't have the same choices and options. The dream job that hope for, may not come along. In fact, for many people, if A job comes along, THAT'S the dream job--because it's a job and it's for you.

I hope that you aren't sleeping yet--this turned out to be rather long. Sleep

I wish you all the best in your studies, in your job search, and in your future employment. Don't stop dreaming, even if you think your dreams are impossible. Why do you think they call them dreams? You can reach many of them. So keep dreaming, studying, working--you can do it!

    I do appreciate every word,Mr.Wes.
They are motivating especially the part that you decided along with your wife to not get married until you got a job.
    So,I do affirm your opinion.
I hope that all the students think like you.
    Have a nice day. lol!
